What is an e-gift card?

An e-gift card is a digital version of a gift card that is sent to the recipient electronically

What is a Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher?

Lifestyle is a multi-retailer Gift Card or Voucher. All Lifestyle Gift Cards and Vouchers allow recipients to swap and spend the value of their Gift Card with one or more of the listed Irish retailers. Lifestyle Gift Cards and Vouchers must be registered online before swapping in to a retailer eGift Card of choice to then go shopping with. Although you need to treat the Gift Card as you would cash, Lifestyle Gift Cards and Vouchers themselves are not a payment method so cannot be used directly in shops.

Can I use my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher straight away in shops?

No. You have to register and swap it online first by going to lifestylegiftcards.ie, click "Redeem" and follow the instructions.

How do I register my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher?

Please note there is a 24 hour delay before you can register - this is for anti-fraud and anti-money laundering purposes.

If you have a physical Gift Card lifestylegiftcards.ie, click "Redeem" and enter the values on the reverse of Gift Cards. The Gift Card code is underneath the grey and silver security scratch panel. Rub a coin lightly on the panel to reveal the code. Do not rub or scratch too hard. Illegible, damaged codes cannot be replaced and will render the Gift Card worthless.

If there is a QR code from a mobile device and this will take you to the registration page and enter the reference number for you. If prompted, enter the Security Code listed on the Gift Card or Voucher. You will have to enter your email address to create an account or enter the email of an existing Lifestyle account you want the credit added to.

Where can I view my Lifestyle Gift Card balance?

Log into lifestylegiftcards.ie and you can see your balance in the top left of your screen.

I’ve entered an incorrect email whilst registering my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher, what shall I do?

Please contact us on [email protected] quoting your Lifestyle Gift Card code or reference number and the incorrect email address you set the account up with. We will investigate and use all our best endeavours to help and rectify the situation. Unfortunately, if the email address you have originally registered your Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher to is in use we have no way of stopping the recipient from using your credit. Please note Lifestyle Gift Cards and Vouchers must be treated as cash and cannot be replaced.

How do I resend to myself retailer eGift Cards I’ve swapped my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher for?

When logged into lifestylegiftcards.ie, you can download a copy of your eGift Card in My Account. Retailer eGift Cards are also automatically saved in your eWallet for you to access anytime without the need to email them to yourself.

Why can't I swap value for the brands I want to?

Some retailers have a minimum value that allow you redeem with them - usually below €20 limits the brands you can swap with. Please also check you have enough credit in your account to swap for the value of your choice.

There’s a specific retailer logo featured on my Lifestyle Gift Card but I can’t find it on the Lifestyle website to swap?

Retailers are subject to change, and subject to availability. Please refer to our full terms and conditions.

Do I have to redeem the full value of my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher in one go?

No. If you don’t spend the full value of your Lifestyle Gift Card, any unspent funds will be instantly credited to your account.

Does my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher have an expiry date?

Yes, Lifestyle Gift Cards and Vouchers and their associated credit is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase and must be redeemed within this period. Please do check your Gift Card or Voucher for the definitive time as we do sometimes offer different expiry dates.

The website is telling me my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher is already registered or invalid, what shall I do?

Please first double-check the details of your Lifestyle Gift Card have been entered correctly. If your Gift Card is still being reported as already registered or invalid go in to My Account on the lifestylegiftcards.ie site and check out the Balance History section. You will see your current balance. If you cannot see the Gift Card or Voucher amount on the balance or within the statement, please contact us on [email protected]

Can I register my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher and use it at a later time?

Yes, you can register a llfe:style Gift Card or Voucher and use at a later date. The value of your card will sit as a balance on your account to spend how and when you wish. The balance will still expire so please check your Gift Card or Voucher for the expiry date: you must redeem before this elapses.

Can I choose to receive physical and digital Gift Cards from retailers when swapping my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher?

No- you will always recieve a digital eGift Card emailed to you

I haven’t yet received the eGift Card from the retailer that I swapped my Lifestyle Gift Card for, what shall I do?

You will find it in your registered email account and in your eWallet in your Lifestyle account on lifestylegiftcards.ie. Please check the retailer’s Important Information section to see how your retailer Gift Card is being sent. Please ensure to check your email spam/junk folder and the email address registered to your Lifestyle account (see My Details in My Account).

Why am I seeing an “Out of stock, coming soon” alert when choosing a retailer eGift Card?

Occasionally there may be instances of specific values of retailer eGift Card being “Out of stock – coming soon!”. In this situation we recommend using other values to make up the value you require, or to choose one of the other brands available. When there is a stock shortage it is typically replenished within 2-4 working days.

What happens if my Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher gets lost/stolen?

If you have not registered your Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher: As the Gift Card is not personal or registered it’s as good as cash so cannot be replaced when lost or stolen. If you have written down your Gift Card code please get in contact with us as soon as possible so we can block your card. If you do not have any details then we will not be able assist. If you have registered your Lifestyle Gift Card or Voucher: Please contact our Lifestyle customer service team on [email protected] being sure to provide us with the details you set your account up with and we’ll be able to investigate and assist.

Are there any additional fees?

No. There are no fees for redeeming your gift card

Why do i have to wait 24 hours to spend / redeem my Gift Card or Voucher?

There is a delay in allowing registration in order for us to perform anti-fraud and anti-money laundering checks. Unfortunately, since Gift Cards are a store of value, they can sometimes be used by criminals for nefarious purposes.
